COACH'S OPINION: DO YOU feel pressure to maintain aesthetics?

Often I get asked "As a coach do you feel pressure to maintain a certain level of aesthetics and body fat?". In short, yes but no.

The way in which the "Fitness" lifestyle is portrayed these days in social media, one could be forgiven for thinking that having abs and smiling whilst eating an Acai Bowl means your fit 🤔

But I can tell you right now...just because someone has a six pack or bulging biceps, does not mean that A) They always know what they are talking about or B) are super fit and healthy.
Of course, as a client you are probably going to be drawn to someone you believe "walks the talk" and leads as an example in how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

But as a coach, a professional in the Fitness Industry AND a human, I can tell you that I personally, love to maintain this type of living BUT also enjoy food and having a pretty decent social life. Furthermore, I enjoy incorporating these things into my life because it keeps me HAPPY.

This is the part people often don't think about. It is just as important (in my opinion), to enjoy your life whilst also working towards your goals.
For some people, they can eat a strict diet, never miss a training session and wake up every morning ready to crush life.

Me...I would be miserable if you put me on a Chicken and Broccoli diet! And sometimes, I actually choose to miss a training session because I would prefer a rest day. These things don't make me any less of a fitness professional. They make me human.

I would much prefer to eat the burgers, train hard and have a slightly higher body fat percentage to be HAPPY!
